Bronica ETRS

✎ Edit this page

The Bronica ETRS is a professional medium format SLR camera system producing 6x4.5cm images, launched in 1976 as Bronica's entry into the compact medium format market. This modular camera features a focal plane shutter with speeds from 1s to 1/500s plus Bulb mode, and accepts interchangeable lenses, viewfinders, and film backs. The ETRS offers both manual and aperture-priority automatic exposure modes, with a bright viewfinder displaying exposure information. Its relatively compact size and comprehensive system approach made it competitive with Mamiya's 645 cameras. The camera became popular among professional photographers who needed medium format quality without the bulk of larger 6x6 systems.
