Agfa Colorflex
✎ Edit this pageThe Agfa Colorflex is an improved twin-lens reflex camera that built upon the success of the original Ambiflex design. Featuring enhanced optics and refined mechanics, the Colorflex was specifically marketed for color photography during the 1960s when color film was becoming more accessible to amateur photographers. It maintains the classic TLR format with waist-level viewfinder and ground glass focusing screen, producing twelve 6x6cm images on 120 roll film. The camera offers shutter speeds from 1/25s to 1/500s with improved flash synchronization capabilities. Its Agnar taking lens provides sharp image quality suitable for both black-and-white and color photography. The Colorflex represented excellent value in the medium format market, offering many features of premium TLRs at a more affordable price point, making medium format photography accessible to enthusiasts.
