Agfa Ambiflex
✎ Edit this pageThe Agfa Ambiflex is a twin-lens reflex (TLR) camera that represented Agfa's entry into the popular medium format TLR market of the 1950s. It features a waist-level viewfinder with ground glass focusing screen for composition and a separate taking lens below for capturing images on 120 roll film. The camera offers manual exposure control with a leaf shutter providing speeds from 1/25s to 1/300s plus Bulb mode. Its simple, robust construction made it an affordable alternative to premium TLRs like the Rolleiflex. The Ambiflex accepts standard flash synchronization and produces twelve 6x6cm square format images per roll. Known for reliable operation and decent optical quality, it became popular among amateur photographers seeking professional-style medium format photography without the premium price tag.
